Uwe Boll, some people love him, others tend to hate him. Our own Patrick Desmond had a chance to interview Uwe Boll last week. Uwe Boll speaks about his newest movie, BloodRayne II: Deliverance, he also speaks about Seed and Postal as well. He talks about the world of film making and funding these films. This interview is in two parts so enjoy both parts.

Hi everyone - Wanted to let you know that Mark and the band he's in "Capital Sound" is playing Saturday night at the Lazy Chameleon up in Powell right off of Sawmill/Presidential Parkway.  They start around 9:30 and will play till about 1:30 or so.  I plan to be there around 9:00.  For those doing a show Saturday night you'll still have plenty of time to see the band after the show so just head up 270 North to Sawmill, go left on Sawmill till it turns into Presidential Parkway and its right there on the right in a little mall.  Hope to see you there.

Our own Mark Cullison "fetish" will be appearing in this play.

The Real Inspector Hound

Feuding theatre critics Moon and Birdgoot, the first a fust philanderer and the second a pompous and vindictive second stringer, are swept into the whodunit they are viewing. In the hilarious spoff of Agatha Christie like melodramas that follows, the body under the sofa proves to be the missing first string critic. As mists rise about the isolated Muldoon Manter, Moon and Birdfoot become dangerously implicated in the lethal activities of an escaped madman.

Put on by the Emearld City Players.

Calling all horror movie fans:

Reserve August 4-6 on your calendar. Call a sitter for the kids, or heck, just bring them along. Nothing beats knowing that you have a part in nurturing the next generation of discriminating movie viewers. But whether you make this a group event, want to just cuddle with your significant other in the corner of the room, or plan on coming solo and making new friends in the movie fan base, you will not want to miss the Twisted Nightmare Weekend at Quality Airport Inn in Middleburg Heights, Ohio.

Patrick Desmond, independent movie director and founder of New Illusions Pictures, will be there, armed with a dvd copy of the long awaited final cut of New Illusions Pictures premier film, "The Absence of Light." Stars from Absence, including headliners Michael Berryman and Robyn Griggs will be in attendance also. We are thrilled to have these talented performers, and many others on hand for the weekend and you will be just as thrilled to meet them in person.

Berryman and Griggs fans will definitely want to check this film out--Berryman plays the wise Seer who's main job seems to be keeping hired assassins in their place, and Griggs, who plays one such assassin, and she is always easy on the eyes.

Also, a little birdie told me that Patrick will have information on hand about New Illusions upcoming projects. It's all a secret now, but be sure to show up and hear the news right from him.

See you in August!!! Click here for the Twisted Nightmare web site.
